Test Double’s User Centric Website Built With Infinite Flexibility
Test Double is a holistic software consultancy that has solved complex software challenges for big names like Gusto, TED, and Zendesk.
But with years of growth and company acquisitions, their website felt disjointed and users struggled to understand their current services. Gigantic knew just what to do.
The approach
Gigantic took a user-centric approach to solve this challenge.
Two distinct, yet equally important audiences were defined: prospective clients made up of savvy business leaders, and prospective candidates in senior product and development roles. How could everyone feel like the site was curated just for them?
Navigation Overhaul
A new information architecture and content strategy led to distinct paths for each audience, starting on the home page.
The new navigation prioritized user-friendliness with intuitive language and structure. Hidden links and pages were removed, making relevant information easier to find.
Building Brand Equity Through Design
Test Double's recently refreshed brand identity was made up of bright and bold colors, helping it stand out in its category. So rather than starting from scratch, Gigantic focused on keeping the brand consistent.
The information architecture and design worked hand in hand to enhance the user journey and navigation. Dual design modes established clear paths for each audience: business mode consisting of a lighter color palette and community mode taking on a dark and more edgy design.
Subtle design shifts and moments of surprise and delight were used to enhance the user experience and build brand equity, without making the site feel completely new.
Results Driven Case Study Design
Gigantic designed new case studies to elevate the most valuable information for their audiences. Content went from a long, high-density format to digestible storytelling with key call-outs for context.
Project results took the spotlight, helping to build credibility and interest with their business audience.
Industry Leading Blog
Their industry leading technical blog got a makeover inspired by tech news sites while continuing to incorporate a code snippet styling library that plays well with Webflow.
Component-Based Design
During the Development phase, each custom web page was broken into individual components and organized into a digital style guide and component library. Each component can then be easily replicated and reordered to to create new web pages, landing pages, and even build on existing content.
Using Gigantic’s component based design system meant that Test Double’s new website was built for infinite flexibility.

Webflow for the Win
A major shift for the Test Double team was moving to Webflow. This strategic move had big implications for the marketing team and opened up opportunities for the whole business.
Webflow's easy-to-use CMS paired with Gigantic's component based design system enabled Test Double's marketing team to easily manage both day-to-day and in-depth updates. Time spent on web-related marketing tasks was reduced, making more space for impactful initiatives, and client-facing developer resources were no longer needed to maintain its marketing website.
Software integrations with Zapier, Campaign Monitor, Matomo, and Pipeliner made the new website a much larger platform for Test Double’s marketing team to effectively hit their goals.
The Results
In the end, Test Double's new website was user-centric and a clear reflection of its brand and business, built with the flexibility to scale for years to come.

Working with Gigantic was inspiring and impactful. Given the nature and timeline of this project, our company needed a collaborative and nimble partner—not just one who lists those qualities as bullet points in a capabilities presentation, but a partner who actually exhibits them day in and day out. Gigantic worked with our team to create and implement design decisions in real-time and, like any true partner, asked great questions and challenged us which has only benefited our company as a whole.
