'Keeping Your Website Project On Budget'
I'm Bryce 👋, Webflow Designer at Gigantic and I wanted to highlight some of my favorite design moments from 2023.
Our team had a fun and creative year pushing the boundaries of design in Webflow to create websites that amplified brand awareness and dramatically increased traffic for our clients. While design styles change rapidly, quality execution and intention will always lead the way.
Here are a few design directions that stood out to me this year:
👀 Engaging navigations
Website navigation needs to be simple, straightforward, and direct the visitor to exactly where they want to be. While your navigation may be one of the most essential parts of your website, it doesn't mean you can't have some fun. We spiced up the basic navigation this year by embracing hover animations and easily to digest interactions.
🪄 Small moments of joy
Small interactions can make a big impact. While you can't deny the excitement of a full page animation, we recommend taking time to prioritize the small interactions that come with button hovers, navigation links, and any other place where you could spark a small moment of joy for a website user.
📚 Resources that are actually resourceful
I saw a shift this year in teams choosing to prioritize long-form and resource content that was not generated directly for SEO clicks. As a website visitor, it can be incredibly frustrating to land on content with no substance. I recommend taking the time to prioritize the resources you share on your website and generate meaningful value for your visitors.
🎨 Impactful (non-AI) imagery
I feel strongly about minimizing the use of AI imagery on websites. Yes, AI can be an incredible tool but more often than not it's easy to tell when an image has been generated by AI. Have you heard of the Uncanny Valley effect? Marketing teams spend so many resources to create websites that inspire and feel authentic to their brand and I feel that the "Uncanny Vally effect" that often comes from AI generated imagery can subconsciously reduce trust with visitors.
And without further delay, here are my favorite design moments of 2023 (in no particular order 😊).

gWorks
gWorks utilized small moments of joy to break apart dense pages of copy into engaging and easily digestible content. With an engaging and easy to follow navigation, users are able to find the product solution they are looking for without hesitation. Easily to populate CMS collections allowed the gWorks team to create helpful resources showcasing events, testimonials, and webinars. See more of the gWorks website.
Joule Case
It's easy to create memorable experiences with the Joule Case brand. This year my favorite Joule Case design moments focused on user experience through navigation and footer components. Consistent calls to action easily guide website visitors to their intended destination. See these design features in action on the Joule Case Website.
Gennev
My favorite design moments from Gennev focus on creating clean and easy to navigate user experiences. Dense databases are displayed in an easily digestible way.

Have a project or problem to solve? Let’s get started.
Working with Gigantic was inspiring and impactful. Given the nature and timeline of this project, our company needed a collaborative and nimble partner—not just one who lists those qualities as bullet points in a capabilities presentation, but a partner who actually exhibits them day in and day out. Gigantic worked with our team to create and implement design decisions in real-time and, like any true partner, asked great questions and challenged us which has only benefited our company as a whole.
