'Keeping Your Website Project On Budget'
Happy Webflow Wednesday! Webflow just released a great update making components even easier to use. Why components? A well-thought-out component system can dramatically reduce the time it takes for your marketing team to build new web pages 🚗💨 .
💙 Tips on how to build Webflow components to speed up workflow:
➡️ Identify repeatable elements: Look for elements on your website that are used in multiple places, such as a navigation menu, footer, hero, content sections, or call-to-action button.
➡️ Create a component: To create a component, select the parent div you want to turn into a component, right-click, and select "Create component" (or Cmd+Shift+A). Give your component an easily distinguishable naming system that reflects its purpose, such as "Header" or "Button - Black".
➡️ Determine component overrides: Set overrides on the component so users can quickly update images, links, anchors, text, and element visibility.
➡️ 🚀 Quickly build pages: To use a component, simply drag and drop it onto your page from the component panel or Cmd+E and search by the component name.

Working with Gigantic was inspiring and impactful. Given the nature and timeline of this project, our company needed a collaborative and nimble partner—not just one who lists those qualities as bullet points in a capabilities presentation, but a partner who actually exhibits them day in and day out. Gigantic worked with our team to create and implement design decisions in real-time and, like any true partner, asked great questions and challenged us which has only benefited our company as a whole.
