Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs on a marketing website refer to a secondary navigation aid that shows users their current location within the site’s hierarchy. Typically displayed as a horizontal list of links near the top of a page, breadcrumbs provide a trail from the homepage to the current page, illustrating the path taken through the site’s structure. This trail usually includes the homepage, main category, subcategory, and the specific page the user is on, each separated by symbols such as arrows or slashes.
Effective use of breadcrumbs enhances the user experience by making it easy for visitors to understand their location within the site and navigate back to previous pages without using the browser’s back button. Breadcrumbs improve site usability, especially on complex or content-rich websites, by providing a clear, clickable path that helps users retrace their steps or explore related sections. This navigational aid not only helps reduce bounce rates but also encourages deeper engagement with the site's content, supporting the marketing goals by keeping users oriented and engaged.

Working with Gigantic was inspiring and impactful. Given the nature and timeline of this project, our company needed a collaborative and nimble partner—not just one who lists those qualities as bullet points in a capabilities presentation, but a partner who actually exhibits them day in and day out. Gigantic worked with our team to create and implement design decisions in real-time and, like any true partner, asked great questions and challenged us which has only benefited our company as a whole.
